Holiday Season is finally here! Do you know what you're asking Santa Claus for Christmas this year? Well if you're anything like us, we're chomping at the bit to get our hands on some of the raddest ski and board equipment of the 2014/2015 season. We've been really good this year, so hopefully Santa comes through and delivers us some badass gear so we can hit the slopes in style this coming season.
Maggie's Ski Wish List: With so many gear options out there, it can be hard to sift through all the choices and figure out what you really value in your 2014/2015 ski gear. I've been doing a bit of research and found some pretty sick gear to put on my Christmas wish list this year!
Skis: Armanda VJJ 2.0

Skis: Armanda VJJ 2.0
Voted as Outside Magazine 2015 Gear of the Year and 2015 Powder Magazine Skier's Choice, these skis are sure to impress on the slopes. Featuring a free ride rocker and a hybrid ultra lightweight core you'll be floating over pow. However these skis are versatile enough for all conditions and handle really well on the groomers. Check them out at Evo ($674.95).
Ski Jacket: Mountain Hardware's Womens Snowtastic Jacket
I've got to say, when I hear the brand name Mountain Hardware, I get pretty excited. This jacket is completely tricked out for the ultimate skiing experience. Ultra breathable, waterproof, fleece lined and super light weight, you'll forget you're even wearing a jacket as you glide down the mountain. That's why this is my top pick for ski coat for the 2014/2015 season.
Ski Pants (Bibs): Patagonia PowSlayer Bib
People seem to love or hate bibs, and I'm definitely a lover of a well fitting bib. That way, I don't have to worry about my pants falling down or getting snow in my pants! Patagonia's PowSlayer is my top bib of the 2014/2015 mostly due to the awesome tan color offered this year. I've always wanted tan ski pants. Crossing my fingers these are under the tree this Christmas!

Goggles: ***Dream Item*** Oakley Air Wave 1.5 Goggles
Now, I realize that these goggles are extremely overpriced and probably not worth the money but... one can dream right? These goggles are legit. You can check text messages, play music from your iPod and see how fast you're cruising down the mountain all from one look at the lens of the goggles. Please Santa please!
AirBag Backpack: Mammut Ride Protection Airbag Backpack
As far as I'm concerned, safety should always be a riders #1 priority. With so much mountain time planned this year, I plan to take a couple ski touring courses to the backcountry. To add an extra layer of safety, I'd love to add an airbag backpack to my gear this season. I chose this Mammut bag because of it's 22L size (midsize) and nice design.

Sarah's Snowboard Wish List: I'm that person who has ridden with the same gear since I started a LONG time ago, and I'm finally starting to upgrade my set up. Last year, I got a new board, which I love, and I continue to research and add gear to my wish list for the 2014/15 season. I'm not made of money, but here are some items that are excellent quality and price, as well as some dream items for fun! Snowboard: Ride OMG Last year I purchased the Ride OMG women's snowboard for my Christmas present, and I'm in love! This was the perfect transition board from "All Mountain" to "All Mountain Freestyle." This board features a hybrid twin rocker with the feeling of surfing over powder in the tail and tip, and the pop needed for park from the camber under foot. For women looking to transition from terrain riding to park experimentation, this is a fantastic board! Check it out at Evo ($251.90). Dream Board: Jones Women's Solution Split board Now if Santa really loved me, he would put this beauty under my tree! Jeremy Jones is on a whole new playing field when it comes to quality and innovation of board technology. This is the top of the line split board for the ultimate back country and wilderness exploration. |
Bindings: Burton Stiletto Bindings
These beauts were my most recent present to myself from the Portland Ski Fever Expo. Burton is known for their innovation in matching each riders' needs, and they have really nailed it with these bindings designed specifically for the female rider. The high back cradles the curves of the female leg and the flexibility adds to the responsiveness for greater board control.

Jacket: Burton Prowess Jacket
Despite this jacket having a sick camo-floral design, its made with DryRide Durashell 2-layer fabric keeping you warm and dry while remaining breathable and not bulky. I wouldn't mind adding this to my collection! Check out more of its features on Evo.

Pants: Volcom L Gore-Tex Pants
I usually look for a shell when it comes to pants because I like to rep some under layers to keep me warm, but with these pants, that may not be necessary. You can't go wrong with Gore-Tex for waterproofing and protection from the elements, and this rust color from Volcom is legit! *note the hidden Volcom design on the rear.

Goggles: Smith I/OX Goggles
Smith goggles have been on the scene for a long time, but they have been making a new name for themselves with some dream goggles! I especially enjoy this style with the peripheral vision, and easy interchangeable lens, complete with two lenses for varying light conditions. They are also designed to work with a wide variety of helmets (Love Your Brain...Wear a Helmet!), and I'm lovin that eagle detail on the strap!

Some great deals are to be had on the Evo Outlet site!!!
Base layer/ Gloves / Accessories:
Man I would love to have a ninja suit under my tree for Christmas this year! Airblaster makes the best. They are so warm and cozy that whether your riding, sleeping, or hiking, the wearing possibilities are endless!
Another Christmas present I bought myself this year from the Portland Ski Expo were these POW Astra Gloves. Again, repping that Gore-Tex to keep your hands warm and dry, but not too bulky, making it easy to strap in and have hand function without removal.
Yeah, I'm the type of person that actually wants socks for Christmas! Fun socks are my weakness, and Stance makes the best! Just look at these White Bengal Socks. If you haven't yet, go check out all their designs! So any of my friends out there looking for the perfect present for me --->
